Care for Sterling Silver Jewelry

It is common for sterling silver jewelry to tarnish over time, especially in humid climates. Air pollution is another harsh factor on silver jewelry. When it happens, it losses it's shine and turns a black hue. There are a few ways to help you remove the hue and return your jewelry to its shine and beautiful state:-

- The easiest way is to polish your jewelry using the Silver cleaning cloths. These cloths are easily available in beads stores, departmental stores etc. The cloths can be used multiple times.

- Use a toothbrush with little of toothpaste to lightly buff the jewelry. It is important not to scratch the jewelry with the brush bristles. Rinse the jewelry with warm water when finished.

- Dip your jewelry pieces into Silver jewelry cleaning liquid and then pull out to wipe dry.

However, if you have silver jewelry pieces with precious stone such as diamonds and other gemstones, it is best to take them to a jeweler to have them cleaned periodically.
